This week, Mikki talks with a spokesman for a loosely organized group of residents called ConcernedPike, who are hoping to convince the County Commissioners to meet their space needs without jeopardizing the borough Historic District. Edgar Brannon of Milford, spent 15 years as the head of Grey Towers National Historic Site and served on the Architectural Review Board.

The Pike County Commissioners known for more than a decade that they need to expand the space available for the judicial system, currently housed in a structure built in 1872. Now they have proposed a three-story annex alongside the existing building to house all functions of the court from the Sheriff’s office to probation. This week on Wayne Pike Now host Mikki Uzupes talks with CountyCommissioners Matt Osterberg, Karl Wagner and Rich Caridi about those plans and the opposition to their proposal. They also discuss security and space concerns as well as suggested alternatives. This is the first in a multi-part series.
